Together we can make a difference

Pupils bowled over by lottery grant

Date: 7th November, 2014

It's always a pleasure to see the difference that our grants make, so it was a lovely surprise to receive these photos from Shap Bowling Club.

We gave the club a grant last year so that they could buy bowling equipment suitable for young people, to encourage more juniors to take up the sport and strengthen the club.

Earlier this year, the club hosted a visit by pupils from Shap Church of England Primary School, introducing them to bowling using the junior equipment.

Who knows... there could be a bowling star of the future among them!

Our thanks to Jenny Smith, secretary of the bowling club, for sharing these with us.
